1 — reading through the journals, marking pages of note to transcribe

Transcribing journals, beginning this time with June 1993. Back in the Mercury retrograde mines, as I think of this kind of activity. Pausing at ten thousand words transcribed as the scene shifts into 1994.

2 — transcribing the entries that I marked, light editing as I transcribe

The energy is different than when consulting and transcribing from earlier journals—not as heavy. Which is great, because I can read, metabolize, and move to transcription faster.

3 — read through the material and consider the shape, what is left, what needs to happen next to the text

The part I look forward to most. It’s what’s motivating me to return to the journals with a nearly unemotional eye. To move more rapidly.

A momentum.
